Sams Restaurant is located in the old RNLI lifeboat station beside the
beach at Polkerris which served as the Fowey lifeboat from 1859 - 1922.
Four lifeboats served here, crewed by men from Polkerris, Fowey and Par.
For over 60 years, this boathouse was at the heart of the local
community. In a great location, serving locally sourced produce to
create something truly unique in the old Fowey lifeboat house on the
waters edge overlooking Polkerris harbour and the whole of St Austell

The Crown Inn is a 12th century long house with low beams, slate
floors open fires and bags of character directly on the Saints Way (a
walk across Cornwall once undertaken by cattle drovers from Ireland
walking the cattle from Padstow to Fowey) A great pub that serves local
produce wherever possible, fresh fish is available daily and the staff
are all extremely helpful and friendly.
